The Continuity
My apologies for the late update to this blog. Was kind of busy with other things.
The 1st Basket Festival was successful. Thanks to a lot of people involved in the planning, preparation and of course during the affair. It was such a memorable one. We hope that more like this are coming in the future.
Needless to say, Antequeranians have shown their non-ending love and support for whatever activity involving the town. Some have said, it was for the fun. Some said, it was an obligation. Others also said, whatever that was, people need to make breaks somehow from the daily hassles of life.
In my personal opinion, I can say that it was a very good start for promoting visibility for the native basket products outside of the town. A showcase emphasizing the continuity of the industry.
Visibility. To say the least, we now have the technological advancements that enables just about anyone to do the promotion at the cost that was not possible before. By posting pictures in social media, like facebook, twitter, instagrams, etc., we have instant publicity not only to our locality but even to the whole wide world as well.
For this blog, for example, I have private messages asking for inquiries regarding the possibility of a sale. Unfortunately, I was not prepared for that. I made this blog in support of the visibility concept. I was not preparing myself if in case someone is asking questions that are very business in nature. But, I did somehow answered that a visit to the town would help them a lot.
At any rate, I would like to share to you the audience of this blog:
Outside of the Philippines the next highest viewer count is the United States. Although, this figure must have come greatly from my friends' list in facebook, we can least say that it is quite satisfying to know that the US took a peek. We have India, UAE, New Zealand, Canada too! We also have Thailand, Oman, Taiwan and Kuwait.
As of writing, the total views reached 883. For a good business, this is just a pinch. But also good enough to start off. "The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step."
Well, see you on my next post.
Thank you.
